Meet the team
We’re a small, specialist team supporting dogs and their guardians through separation anxiety, with extensive experience working across both straightforward and complex cases. Our work is grounded in ethical, evidence-based practice and focused on long-term emotional wellbeing, not one-size-fits-all solutions.

Louise Campbell-Pierson
Founder & Certified Separation Anxiety Behaviour Consultant
Hi, I’m Louise! The founder of Canine Friends, which I established in 2018, and a Certified Separation Anxiety Behaviour Consultant.
I specialise exclusively in separation anxiety and have supported hundreds of dogs and their guardians through both straightforward and complex cases.

My work is grounded in ethical, evidence-based practice and focuses on supporting dogs and their guardians through lasting, sustainable change, particularly where previous advice hasn’t helped, or has made things harder.

I also understand separation anxiety on a personal level, having previously supported my own dog through it alongside my professional training. This experience continues to shape how I work with clients, with empathy, care and a deep respect for how challenging this can be.

Within the team, I oversee all behaviour plans, support complex cases, and ensure every client receives guidance that is appropriate, compassionate and aligned with current best practice.

Sophie Hofheinz
Separation Anxiety Trainer
Hi, I’m Sophie, a Separation Anxiety Trainer at Canine Friends!
I joined the team in 2024 and work closely with clients throughout their training journey, providing day-to-day guidance, feedback and support as they work through their plans.

I was originally a Canine Friends client, supporting my own dog through separation anxiety. That experience, alongside my professional training, shaped my decision to retrain and now allows me to support guardians with empathy, reassurance and a clear, practical approach.

I work under Louise’s clinical oversight, supporting clients with their daily training plans, ensuring all guidance remains ethical, consistent and aligned with current best practice in separation anxiety support.
